MEZZADRO STOOL

Mezzadro transforms an existing agricultural component — the pressed-steel seat of a tractor — into a domestic piece of furniture.

The seat is supported by a bent steel element connected to a wooden crosspiece on the floor, creating a deliberately simple and unconventional structure.

The stool demonstrates the Castiglioni brothers’ interest in ready-made objects, reinterpretation and the displacement of familiar components from one context into another.
