LAMPE DE MARSEILLE

The Lampe de Marseille was designed by Le Corbusier as an architectural lighting device capable of directing light according to the needs of the interior.

Two articulated arms allow the lamp to rotate and extend from the wall, while its double-sided shade directs light both upward and downward.

Its mechanical appearance and functional construction reflect Le Corbusier’s interest in industrial objects and in integrating furniture, lighting and architecture into a unified environment.
