Munari’s Macchine Inutili are suspended kinetic compositions created from lightweight geometric elements connected by threads.

Air currents cause the components to rotate and continuously modify their spatial relationships.

By deliberately rejecting practical function, the works investigate movement, balance and perception while questioning the conventional idea of the machine as a productive device.
