Designed by Ettore Sottsass and Perry A. King, the Valentine transformed the typewriter from an office machine into a portable, colorful and highly recognizable everyday object.

Its bright red plastic body and integrated carrying case reject the conventional appearance of technical equipment in favor of a more informal and accessible identity.

Valentine became one of the most recognizable products associated with Italian design, combining industrial production, communication and pop culture in a single object.
