Charles and Ray Eames were American designers whose work had a
major influence on twentieth-century furniture, architecture,
exhibitions and visual communication.
Their practice combined experimentation, industrial production
and a strong interest in new materials such as molded plywood,
fiberglass and aluminum.
Through furniture, films, exhibitions and architecture, the
Eameses developed a multidisciplinary approach that helped define
the language of post-war modern design.
